Private Client Locum – Long-Term Sickness Cover

Location: Devon
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing (long-term sickness cover)
Working Arrangement: Primarily office-based, with potential for limited hybrid working (to be discussed)

We are currently seeking an experienced Private Client Locum to support a well-regarded firm in Devon, covering a long-term sickness absence. The role is to start as soon as possible and is expected to be ongoing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a varied caseload of Wills, Trusts, and Probate matters
  • Liaising with clients both in person and over the phone
  • Handling all aspects of private client work from initial instruction to conclusion
  • Working collaboratively with secretarial and paralegal support staff
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Private Client law, particularly in Wills, Trusts, and Probate
  • Ability to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision
  • Availability to work predominantly on-site due to the paper-based nature of the files and regular client attendance at the office
Additional Information:
  • Support: Excellent secretarial and paralegal support is in place.
  • Hybrid Working: Some flexibility may be possible but will need to be discussed. Due to the nature of the department, the role will primarily require office presence.
