A leading engineering firm is looking for a Principal Mechanical Analysis Engineer to enhance their team's capability in mechanical analysis. This role involves leading the execution of engineering analyses and providing technical leadership within a hybrid work model. Candidates should possess a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, with significant experience in hardware design and compliance with military standards. The salary for this position starts at £62,000, depending on experience.

As Principal Mechanical Analysis Engineer you'll drive advanced mechanical analysis capability within the team by applying deep expertise in the areas of structural, thermal and flow analysis through classical methods and FEA/CFD simulation tools. Lead the definition and execution of engineering analyses—including hand calculations, technical studies, and R&D—to deliver robust, high-quality solutions across projects backed by robust engineering reports. You'll provide technical leadership and mentoring to strengthen team proficiency in analysis and design best practices, and play a key role in establishing SEA's ongoing infrastructure and capability in Mechanical Analysis.
The Principal Mechanical Analysis Engineer can be based at any of our three sites, Barnstaple, Beckington, or Bristol. This role allows for flexible working with a minimal expectation of 3 days per week on site.
The salary for this role is £62k, depending on experience.
