A local recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Principal Development Control Officer for a contract role in the East Midlands. The candidate will be responsible for determining applications for minerals and waste development, conducting site visits, and monitoring existing sites. Experience in a similar role is essential. The role offers a pay rate of £50 per hour and involves working with various local councils.

Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Principal Development Control Officer in the East Midlands area.
The job role will be to determine applications for minerals and waste development for North Northamptonshire, West Northamptonshire and Rutland Councils (the latter two authorities NNC provides a service to under contract). This will include site visits as appropriate, giving pre-application advice and attending the respective planning committees of the three authorities as necessary when an application goes before them.
The job will also require the monitoring of existing permitted/operational minerals and waste sites in the three authorities and of any authorised development notified to us. In the case of the latter the job holder may need to initiate enforcement action.
You will need to have experience in a similar role.
