Job summary

A recruitment agency for education professionals is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support SEN schools in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. Ideal candidates should have experience with autism and managing challenging behaviour, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include assisting the class teacher and supporting students with learning activities. A valid DBS check is required. This is a long-term position starting immediately with a daily rate of £85.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.
  • Experience managing challenging behaviour in a classroom setting.
  • Ideally experience working with children and/or young people.
  • Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Offering support to the class teacher.
  • Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils.
  • Assist with Individual Education Plans development.
  • Building rapport with students.

We are working with numerous SEN schools in Bournemouth / Christchurch and Poole. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about working with children and eager to gain hands-on experience in a classroom setting.

  • Daily Rate : £85 per day
  • Location : Bournemouth / Christchurch / Poole
  • Contract Type : Mon – Friday, 09 : 00am – 15 : 30pm
  • Start Date : Immediate
  • Duration : Long Term
The successful applicants will have :
  • Previous experience working with Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.
  • Previous experience managing challenging behaviour.
  • Ideally experience working with children and / or young people.
  • Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check.
The role will consist of :
  • Offering support to the class teacher.
  • Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
  • Building good student – teacher rapport.
