Primary Teacher – Year 3/4 (Maternity Cover)

Newcastle‑under‑Lyme | Start February | Up to 12 Months

Academics is working with a friendly and welcoming primary school in Newcastle‑under‑Lyme and is seeking a caring and committed Primary Teacher to cover their Year 3/4 class on a maternity cover basis. This role will begin in February and is expected to continue for up to 12 months.

You will take responsibility for a large, mixed Year 3/4 class, working alongside a supportive staff team who are passionate about providing a nurturing, positive learning environment where every child can thrive.

About the Role

• Teaching a mixed Year 3/4 class with full classroom responsibilities
• Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons across Key Stage 2
• Establishing a calm, positive classroom with clear expectations and strong routines
• Supporting pupils’ academic progress as well as their confidence and wellbeing
• Working closely with colleagues, teaching assistants and school leaders
