The School is looking for a passionate team player to take on this longterm role. The successful SEND Teacher will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.

Responsibilities

• Work with students across all Key Stages with diagnoses of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD / Profound multiple learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.
• Proactively think and take control of situations confidently.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child.
• Collaborate with the wider school team to support pupil development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities.
• Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours.
• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
• Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable.
