About the role/school

Teach Plus are seeking a motivated and ambitious Primary Teacher (ECT) to join a four-form entry mainstream primary school in Waltham Forest. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and is recognised for its strong leadership, inclusive ethos, and commitment to supporting Early Career Teachers through structured mentoring and professional development.

As a Primary Teacher (ECT), you will be joining a large, dynamic team of educators who prioritise high-quality teaching, collaboration, and the holistic development of every pupil. Job Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons as a Primary Teacher (ECT), ensuring pupils achieve excellent outcomes.

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that meets the needs of all learners.

  • Work closely with colleagues in your phase and across the school to share ideas, resources, and best practice.

  • Use assessment and feedback to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive school community.

  • Participate fully in the ECT induction programme, mentoring sessions, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications/Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential

  • Suitable for Early Career Teachers

  • Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and promoting pupil development

  • Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
