This SEMH Independent School is offering a nurturing and holistic education model for vulnerable children and young people. With a maximum of 12 pupils per class and a minimum of two adults in each, the school focuses on creating an inclusive, supportive, and therapeutic environment that fosters growth and achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils, tailoring teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for students with SEMH needs.
  • Use a therapeutic approach to behaviour management, fostering positive relationships and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with support staff and other professionals to develop personalized learning plans.
  • Assess student progress, provide regular feedback, and adapt strategies to promote success.
  • Contribute to the school’s holistic approach by participating in school events, staff training, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are warmly welcomed to apply.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Experience or interest in working with pupils with additional needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
