Overview

Tradewind are recruiting for a Year 2 primary teacher at a two form entry primary school in Leigh. This role is 5 days a week (8:30–15:30) with daily pay rates between 140–200. The position starts in October and continues until July 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Year 2 in a two-form entry primary school with a focus on inclusion and high-quality education for all pupils.
  • Manage behaviour effectively and create a safe, supportive learning environment.
  • Deliver lessons that meet Key Stage 1 objectives and support SATS preparation as applicable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and the wider school community to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Experience of teaching in Year 2 and familiarity with SATS is desirable.
  • Experience in a relevant classroom environment.
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure, overseas police clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • CV should cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
