A special school focused on autism in Hull and East Yorkshire is seeking a Primary Teacher to deliver personalized lessons for students with special educational needs. Responsibilities include planning lessons, leading assistants, and collaborating with therapists. Candidates should have a teaching qualification and experience with ASD. We are recruiting a Primary Teacher to join our team of specialist SEN teachers. As a Primary Teacher at Northcott School, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and personalised lessons that meet the needs and interests of your pupils. You will work closely with the Little Blossoms Team who work with our youngest pupils using the Early Years Framework; lead your team of primary teaching assistants; liaise with therapists and other professionals to ensure that each student receives the best possible support and guidance. You will also contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum, policies, and practices, and participate in ongoing training and professional development. Our primary pupils do not do SATS however they do follow the primary national curriculum, which is personalised and adapted to meet their needs.
Northcott School and Sixth form College is an outstanding and oversubscribed special school, taking children from ages 3 to 19, with a current PAN of 200. All our pupils have an EHCP with a diagnosis of ASD and/or significant needs with speech, language, communication and interaction needs. We have ambitions to grow our primary provision and see this appointment as crucial to the future development of our primary.
