Overview

Prospero Teaching is looking for kind and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Emsworth.

What You'll Be Doing

Your days will be varied and rewarding. You'll:

  • Support learning through tailored, structured activities

  • Help children build their confidence, communication, and social skills

  • Contribute to a calm and supportive classroom environment

  • Assist with planning and delivering lessons alongside teaching staff

  • Observe and track progress to help meet each child's goals

  • Support with personal care as needed, always with dignity and kindness

  • Champion inclusion by making sure all pupils feel seen, safe, and supported

What We're Looking For

You'll be someone who:

  • Special Educational Needs Experience

  • Brings patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to each day

  • Understands how to use tools like Makaton and visual aids to support learning

  • Communicates well and enjoys being part of a team

  • Has a solid grasp of English, Maths, and basic IT skills

  • Is passionate about creating a safe and nurturing space for every child

  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (mainstream primary)

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:50 AM - 15:20 PM (part-time considered)

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Pay Rate: From 13.96 per hour
