A dedicated education service in Emsworth seeks a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in a primary school. Prospero Teaching is looking for kind and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Emsworth.
Your days will be varied and rewarding. You'll:
Support learning through tailored, structured activities
Help children build their confidence, communication, and social skills
Contribute to a calm and supportive classroom environment
Assist with planning and delivering lessons alongside teaching staff
Observe and track progress to help meet each child's goals
Support with personal care as needed, always with dignity and kindness
Champion inclusion by making sure all pupils feel seen, safe, and supported
You'll be someone who:
Special Educational Needs Experience
Brings patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to each day
Understands how to use tools like Makaton and visual aids to support learning
Communicates well and enjoys being part of a team
Has a solid grasp of English, Maths, and basic IT skills
Is passionate about creating a safe and nurturing space for every child
Location: Emsworth
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (mainstream primary)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:50 AM - 15:20 PM (part-time considered)
Start Date: September 2025
Pay Rate: From 13.96 per hour
