Overview

Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant prospect seeking real classroom experience before teacher training.

The Role

You'll work across KS2 to deliver short, targeted interventions in reading, writing and maths, with a particular focus on Year 6 exam preparation. You'll identify gaps, run booster sessions, support revision habits, and help pupils apply strategies under timed conditions. You'll prepare simple resources, track impact, and feed back clear next steps to class teachers.

The Candidate

You're a graduate who communicates clearly, builds rapport quickly and brings a calm, organised approach. You can follow guidance, use initiative in sessions, and keep pupils motivated and on task. A strong interest in primary education and pupil progress is essential.

Requirements
  • Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children - Genuine commitment to supporting learning and wellbeing.
  • Experience working with children - Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
