Salary: £14.00 - £21.00 per hour depending on qualification

Hours: Flexible (minimum 1 hour per week)

Job Description

As Primary Education Sport and Wellbeing Coach you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, active and engaging PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs;
  • Plan and deliver various 'Premier League Primary Stars' sessions, including targeted intervention groups, classroom workshops, social action programmes and teacher PE support lessons;
  • Deliver our positive mental health programme, 'Team Mates', to groups of students in years 6 and 7 in our partner schools, including workshops, assemblies and mentoring;
  • Form positive relationships with all key partners involved in the programme including schools, teachers and parents;
  • Support the administration elements of the programmes including data collection and input, updating monitoring and evaluation systems and completing reports for funding partners;
  • Support at a variety of events throughout the year, including school tournaments and festivals, and holiday courses out of school term.
Person Specification

As successful candidate you will:

  • Have experience coaching in a primary school environment, with a proven track record of achievement;
  • Be an FA/UEFA qualified coach at Level 1 or above, and ideally hold other relevant qualifications e.g. PE;
  • Have good knowledge of school education and mental health related illnesses;
  • Be able to empathise with and give support to participants who may not feel comfortable in learning or sports-related environments;
  • Have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with schools and their staff including head teachers, SENCO and Governors;
  • Be available for some after school and ideally some holiday work.
