Overview
Senior Pricing Analyst role at Esure Group. Work with data, modeling, and performance across home and motor insurance.
Responsibilities
- Recommend and deliver changes to prices and underwriting criteria to achieve volume and profit targets.
- Build and update risk and retail price models using Radar, Emblem and alternative modeling/Data Science techniques.
- Analyze key aspects of business performance (conversion, retention, loss ratios, rate analysis) and flag any issues.
- Coordinate with Pricing Manager and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Interrogate relevant data assets and external data sources to support analysis.
- Apply multivariate statistical and data science techniques to pricing models.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in analysis and detailed knowledge of UK Motor & Home Insurance markets.
- Experience applying multivariate statistical and/or Data Science techniques (e.g., market research or pricing).
- Computer literate with knowledge of statistical software such as SAS or Python.
- Experience with insurance pricing software (e.g., Competitive, Radar, Emblem).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Degree or relevant experience in statistics, data science, finance or related field.
