Job description

Dimz Inc. Academy is a free, week-long creative experience for 18–24-year-olds from under-represented backgrounds who want to break into the world of digital media. Founded by Amelia Dimoldenberg (creator of Chicken Shop Date) and powered by Spiral Skills, this immersive programme will give you the skills, confidence, and connections to take your first step into creative industries. Get real-world experience as you work with high-profile industry professionals, create original content, learn about the art of storytelling and go behind the scenes of one of the UK’s most popular online shows.

The mission: to give young people the tools, resources, and network to kickstart careers in digital media, and the wider creator economy. Spiral Skills is partnering with Dimz Inc. Academy to amplify this vision, co-creating pathways to empower the next generation storytellers.

This isn’t about sitting in a classroom. It’s about real work, real connections, and building a portfolio that helps you stand out. This is your chance to step into the industry with confidence, credibility and a crew behind you.

Across five themed days, you’ll get hands-on experience, explore different creative career paths, and build the kind of skills that get you noticed. From content creation and storytelling to production and editing, you’ll learn from high-profile industry professionals, and it all leads up to shadowing the Chicken Shop Date team on a live shoot.
