Job summary

Newport Pagnell Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative prescription clerk to join our practice. This role is offered on a part time basis, hours are negotiable and can be discussed at interview. The successful candidate will report to the prescriptions lead.

Main duties of the job
  • Process prescriptions and provide an efficient and safe system of medication reviews
  • Liaise with all relevant parties, including face to face, phone contact and email with patients, clinicians and other health care professionals regarding medication queries
  • Ensure all administration duties and patient requests are processed in accordance with practice policy
  • Process repeat prescriptions on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with the practice protocol
  • Perform regular searches on drugs requiring monitoring
