Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a PPA Primary Teacher for a supportive primary school in West London. This role is ideal for both new and experienced teachers and offers the opportunity for extension or a permanent position based on performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for cover teaching classes, managing behavior, and supporting academic initiatives. The position requires QTS and at least one year of relevant teaching experience. Training and professional development will be provided.

PPA Primary Teacher

Prospero Teaching is looking for a PPA Primary Teacher for an Ofsted "Good" primary school in West London.

The school is a popular two‑form entry mainstream primary school with a supportive senior leadership team. It is growing and provides training to all staff.

The position is open to both NQT’s and experienced teachers. Depending on performance the school may extend the contract or offer a permanent position.

Contract/Position Details
  • Location – West London
  • Position – PPA Primary Teacher
  • Type of work – Class Teacher – Cover teaching (PPA)
  • Start date – 05/01/26
  • Duration – Until end of academic year, July 2026
  • Contract type – Temporary
  • Hours – 8:30 am – 4 pm; Mon‑Fri (term time only)
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of Key Stage 1 and 2 teaching experience in the UK
  • Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year
Eligibility Requirements
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child‑barred DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child‑related references covering at least the last two years
