A leading research institution in Cambridge is seeking a postdoctoral scientist to investigate non-canonical transcription and supercoiling in differentiation. Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant biological field or expect to complete one soon, along with experience in advanced bioinformatics and wet lab skills. We are seeking a postdoctoral scientist to join the research group of Dr Julian Sale at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology to undertake research to investigate the role of non‑canonical transcription and supercoiling in differentiation.
You will have a PhD in a relevant biological subject (or due to complete PhD within 6 months) and experience in advanced bioinformatic skills (especially in R) and the wet lab aspects and computational analysis of: RNA‑seq, TT‑seq, END‑seq, S1‑end‑seq.
This is a three‑year training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills. Working with our world class scientists you will be working in an Institute renowned for its excellent scientific facilities and high‑quality research.
