The core responsibility of this role is the development of multiscale computational models, with particular emphasis on bio-based composite materials, to simulate the processes of water absorption and damage propagation. You will contribute to the success of the research project through close collaboration with project partners and members of the CDA Group.

The role is funded for up to 24 months in the first instance, with an expected start date of October 2025.

About You

This post is suited to a PhD graduate with a background in the mechanics of materials or a related discipline, and a strong track record in developing computational models. The successful candidate should also have a good publication record, and, where relevant, experience in writing research proposals.

Please submit your application via the Queen Mary Portal and upload a copy of your CV. Please do not upload copies of research papers.
