We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Podiatry Assistant to join our specialist team, helping patients stay mobile, independent and healthy through expert foot care. From supporting podiatrists in clinics to running your own footcare sessions, this is your chance to make a real difference one pair of feet at a time.
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most. You will support podiatrists in clinics, assist with wound and ulcer care, prepare treatment rooms, and run basic footcare clinics. You may also perform domiciliary visits to support patients in their own homes.
Your day-to-day will be varied and rewarding, with responsibilities that may include:
Stretching across Northern, Eastern and Mid Devon, we have a workforce of over 15,000 staff, making us the largest employer in Devon. Our core services cover more than 2,000 square miles across Devon, with specialist services across the peninsula, extending to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
We deliver a wide range of emergency, specialist and general medical services through North Devon District Hospital and the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford), providing integrated health and social care across community inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, and patients’ homes. We also offer primary care services, a range of specialist community services, and Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC).

A healthy work-life balance is essential, and Devon is a great place to enjoy it. There are opportunities for full-time (37.5hrs per week) or part-time permanent hours. The roles are mainly Eastern locality based. We have a flexible working policy that we are happy to discuss to establish suitable options for you and the department.
Working Pattern: One full time role (37.5 hours) and one 30 hour position available.
