The Role

Sitting within the Customer Operations Team, the role also supports the Technology change delivery team, which is made up of a Technical Project Manager/Delivery Lead (focusing on internal systems), Test Assurance Lead, Tech Director, Product Development, Business Analysts and Test Analysts. The projects will be a mix of supporting new projects filtering through the strategic workstream and the internal work primarily focused on system change. Alt HAN Co engage with external service providers who supply equipment, support logistics management and asset tracking as well as general service delivery. The change delivery programme focuses on improving these and the functionality of CRMs or ERPs, which can be complex due to the number of different systems and service providers involved.

Job Description
  • Reporting into the Operations Director; you will be the only PMO and need to be willing to get involved and enjoy the delivery side of being a PMO.
  • Ensures that effective administrative processes are in place to support Business Change and Project Delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the wider team, collating and distributing regular communication, reporting packs and updates as required.
  • Documents, agendas, minutes and actions for meetings.
  • Maintaining the change framework, induction packs and document library, ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
  • Plans and undertakes project health checks, audits, stage gate reviews and lessons learned meetings as required.
  • Promote best practice for PMO processes to ensure that Programme / Project Managers adhere to the required governance.
  • Engages with Programme / Project managers to understand resource requirements and develops resource plans accordingly.
  • Review and challenge risks logs driving quality and accuracy of reporting information, RAID Logs.
  • Review project plans with project managers and provide challenge and feedback to ensure consistency and quality.

You will have the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

Essential:

  • Significant and relevant experience in a Project Management / Programme Management / Portfolio Management role with relevant qualifications.
  • A natural leader, comfortable engaging at all levels up to Executive management.
  • Strong intellect with outstanding analytical abilities and the capability to solve complex problems and manage risk to achieve the right outcome.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office, and able to learn new systems quickly.
  • Proven track record in delivering to deadlines and managing competing priorities.
  • Experience of consultation with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong time management and business acumen.
  • Excellent cost management, budget and forecasting experience.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in the energy sector.
