Job summary

A dynamic contracting agency is seeking a qualified plumber pipe fitter for a temporary role in Exeter, Devon. You will be responsible for removing existing pipework and installing a new copper system at a commercial site. This labor-only contract offers opportunities for overtime, requires a CSCS/JIB card, and NVQ level 2 or above. The ideal candidate should have prior plumbing experience and a strong work ethic. Tools are required, while materials will be provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or above is required.
• Previous experience in plumbing and pipe fitting is essential.

Responsibilities

A great opportunity to start at a temporary role in Exeter, Devon. You will be working for a busy SME contractor with both maintenance and project workaround Cornwall & Devon. We are looking for a qualified plumber pipe fitter to strip out the existing pipe work on a large commercial building in Exeter. As well as installing, flushing, testing and lagging a new copper system. Please note this is a labour only contract, all materials will be provided you just need tools.

This contract will run for 3 months starting in April and there will be an opportunity for over time hours on bank holidays.

There will most likely be an opportunity for weekend overtime also at certain stages, this is at your own discretion.

Day to day:

• Cutting, welding and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems.
• Strip out carbon steel pipework.
• Working around and flushing fan coils.
• Installing copper pipe work.
• Cutting & measuring materials.
• Site safety, helping to maintain a safe working environment.
• To work alongside a labourer or plumbers mate.

Requirements:

• Must have a CSCS or JIB card.
• NVQ level 2 or above.
• Good work ethic.
• PPE.
• Previous experience is essential.
• Driving licence is not essential but will be beneficial due to job location.
• Good timekeeping.
