Plating Team Leader

Ramsgate, Kent

We are currently looking for an Plating Team Leader for our Ramsgate site.

Purpose of role

To efficiently and effectively deliver the day-to-day operations of the Plating and Shot Peen departments.

Support the control of Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality issues, maintaining compliance with all industry standard regulations.

  • Process components within the plating department or shot peen department
  • Plan and schedule workload in line with the site production schedule.
  • Development and maintenance of strong team morale and team working.
  • Support implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures.
  • Identify training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Manage first level discipline and grievance issues for team members.
  • Maintain the function of plant and equipment to include machine maintenance (preventative and scheduled).
  • Comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Support the implementation of new product development initiatives.
Experience
  • Experience within the Engineering Industry
  • Prior experience in a production workshop environment
  • Prior experience of leading teams
Computer literate – competent in Microsoft Office

Understanding and implementation of lean process principles and their applications
