A regional healthcare provider is seeking a Plastics and Burns Trauma Receptionist to support patient care and administrative duties. The role involves efficient booking of appointments, maintaining patient confidentiality, and ensuring seamless communication with clinical teams. This position is based in Bristol and requires availability for shifts throughout the week, offering a contracted 21 hours. Successful applicants will need to be available to work 3 shifts per week, Monday - Sunday, 08.00 - 15.30. Contracted Hours will be 21 Hours per week. Shifts will be allocated on a Rota, a minimum of 6 weeks in advance.
The Plastics and Burns Trauma Receptionist is responsible for supporting the Plastics Trauma Coordinator and wider team to provide reception cover and administrative support for the Plastics and Burns Trauma Service here at Southmead Hospital. This includes creating referrals, booking patients into clinic and outcoming patients correctly in line with the BNSSG ICB Policies. The role plays a central part within these services, working in close liaison with colleagues, staff in other departments, GPs, patients and the general public. It requires teamwork and the ability to use one's own initiative to provide administrative support to the Plastics and Burns Trauma Receptionist/Administrator Support within the Plastic Surgery team, ensuring an effective high‑quality service is delivered.
