A community housing organization in Blackburn is seeking a qualified Plasterer to provide plastering services across various properties. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, applying plaster, and ensuring high productivity while maintaining customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess an NVQ level 2 in plastering, a full clean driving licence, and a commitment to quality service delivery. This full-time role offers a competitive starting salary and additional benefits such as annual leave and pension contributions.
A Plasterer will deliver a wide range of plastering methods to Great Places properties and to a diverse customer base for Great Places Housing Group. As a Plasterer your responsibilities will include preparing un-plastered or previously plastered surfaces mixing plaster and applying base and finishing layers of plaster to walls and ceilings. You may work on indoor or outdoor surfaces fix damaged areas and work as part of a larger team; this together with excellent customer service is the core of the Great Places repairs service we need you to deliver. You will deliver high productivity to get through more jobs fixed first time.
Starting salary 30632 rising to 32245 on successful completion of 6 month probation period
39 hour week working hours 8am-4:30pm Monday -Thursday & 8am-3:30pm on Friday

Key must haves full clean driving licence NVQ level 2 in plastering or equivalent
Fitting plaster board to walls and ceilings
Multi / board finish to walls and ceilings
General wall prepping and maintenance
Patch plastering
Applying plaster to walls and ceilings
All aspects of plastering and boarding
Raking out re grouting of tiles to bath and shower areas
Mould washes and stain blocking
You will be working remotely and completing jobs on a mobile device
Respecting customer homes leaving them clean and safe
39 hour working week

For the purposes of our van fleet insurance you must have a minimum of 2 years driving experience with a full UK driving licence be over the age of 21 and complete an on-line driver monitoring Assessment prior to starting your role. If you are under 21 but with 2 years driving experience with a full UK driving licence you would be required to complete an on-line driver monitoring assessment and additional in vehicle assessment prior to starting your role funded by Great Places.
