Job description

FM Conway are searching for an enthusiastic Plant Operative to join us at our Reading Asphalt Plant.

As our Plant Operative you will need to operate the plant and associated equipment to facilitate production of materials for our customer’s needs.

Working within the Asphalt & Aggregate division you will plan and communicate information effectively to ensure that all customer requirements can be met.

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner that complies with FMC procedures
• Loading of material onto vehicles
• Undertaking all loading shovel operations as required
• Operating all weighbridge functions as required
• Following site Health & Safety procedures
• Contributing to overall well‑being and profitability of the site and the business

Qualifications

To be considered for this role it is essential that you are a team player, with good communications skills and a full UK driving licence. You will be flexible, computer literate and health and safety conscious. Previous experience within a similar role would be desirable.
