Job Title: Planner - Highways
Location: Bristol

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planner with highways expertise to join our team in Bristol. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning, monitoring, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects. You will work closely with project teams to develop and maintain schedules that drive progress and support on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update project schedules in Microsoft Project, aligned with scope and deliverables.
• Develop detailed look-ahead schedules to support construction planning and execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the baseline plan, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate planning data and schedule integrity.
• Support collaborative planning sessions and assist with schedule-driven decision-making.
• Communicate key milestones, critical path changes, and progress updates clearly to stakeholders.
• Produce and distribute planning reports, performance metrics, and progress dashboards.
• Provide additional planning support as required by the project team.

About You

• Proven experience as a Planner within highways or major infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project (Primavera P6 knowledge desirable).
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and project lifecycles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
• Highly organised, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving.
