Job description
Overview

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced healthcare professional to join the Active Partnership team as a Place-Based PACC with a primary focus on Luton. This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver an innovative, place-based approach to clinician-to-clinician training, helping embed physical activity into clinical care and support healthier, more active lives across communities in Luton. You'll work closely with the national PACC team, Be Active and local and regional health partners to deliver impactful training that supports healthcare professionals to improve patient care and outcomes through physical activity with a particular focus on oncology and mental health teams.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver an innovative, place-based approach to clinician-to-clinician training in Luton to embed physical activity into clinical care.
  • Build strong relationships across health systems and use clinical insight and local knowledge to develop a thriving community of practice.
  • Enable system-wide change and drive forward the project funders, Sport England's ambition to reduce health inequalities through physical activity.
  • Collaborate with the national PACC team, Be Active and local/regional health partners to deliver impactful training for Oncology and Mental Health teams.
Qualifications
  • This role is open to qualified clinicians only. Applicants must be registered medical professionals, nurses, or Allied Health Professionals with current professional registration and recent or ongoing clinical experience within the BLMK region.
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills, ideally supported by a teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
  • A strong understanding of the role physical activity plays in preventing and managing long-term conditions.

This post will involve flexible home and community-based working, with travel across Bedfordshire and occasional national meetings.
