My client, a global law firm renowned for its client‑centric approach and collaborative culture, is seeking a Pitch Advisor to join their dynamic team in Birmingham. With a reputation for innovation and a supportive environment, the firm empowers its people to drive growth and deliver exceptional results across international markets.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in shaping the firm’s pitch strategy and winning new business. As a Pitch Advisor, you’ll work closely with colleagues across BD, Marketing, and Client Services, leading the creation of compelling pitch documents and presentations that set the firm apart. You’ll be involved in both local and global pitches, bringing creativity, commercial insight, and project management skills to every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or support the development of tailored pitch documents and presentations in response to client RFPs, including large panel submissions.
  • Add value to every proposition by identifying points of differentiation and crafting persuasive responses that boost win rates.
  • Manage the pitch process, ensuring deadlines are met and all stakeholders are engaged.
  • Contribute to and maintain databases and content libraries that support the pursuits team.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to ensure the firm’s pitches remain distinctive.
  • Collaborate with managers, partners, and other teams to develop compelling service propositions based on client needs and market insights.
  • Ensure client research, competitor analysis, and sector intelligence are integrated into pursuit strategies.
  • Motivate and coordinate colleagues across business services to deliver timely, high‑quality input for each pitch.
  • Promote a proactive “pipeline” culture, preparing early for upcoming opportunities.
  • Champion global best practice in pitching, including persuasive writing and commercial responses.
  • Gather and leverage pitch feedback to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
  • Support the successful onboarding of new clients following a pitch win.
  • Track and report pitch metrics, using data to inform future strategies.
Person Specification
  • Experience in business development, marketing, or pitching within professional services, ideally in a law firm environment.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
