Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Mechanical Fitter is preferred.
  • You must prioritize health and safety in your work.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to site.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting and welding.
  • Repair systems using welding and plumbing techniques.
  • Attach pipes to structures and bend into position.
  • Seal pipework routes to eliminate water ingress.
  • Perform tests to ensure no leaks or weak joints.
  • Weld, solder, and braze pipework.
  • Read specifications to determine layout and install piping systems.

Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Pipe Fitter on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding using various tools and equipment; threading and ending pipe by hand or with pipe bending machine
  • Repair systems using various welding and plumbing techniques
  • Attach pipes to structures and bend into position
  • Sealing routes of pipework and ensuring water ingress is eliminated
  • Perform tests on your work or the work of others to ensure there are no leaks or weak joints
  • Welding, soldering, brazing, fusing of pipework
  • Read and interpret specifications to determine layout requirements; plan and install piping systems in industrial units/vehicles
Skills and Qualifications

  • You have an excellent understanding of the manufacturing process
  • You have your own transportation or can reliably travel to site
