Occupational Health Physiotherapist – Make a Difference Every Day

📍 Location : Sunderland

🕒 Hours : Part‑time, 24 hours per week – Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (09 : 00–17 : 30, 30‑minute unpaid lunch)

🏢 Working Pattern : Onsite

💼 Experience Required : Minimum 3 years

💰 Salary : Competitive

📅 Additional Info : The company shuts down for two weeks in summer and one week at Christmas .

About the Role

Are you passionate about helping people stay healthy and thrive at work? We’re looking for a confident and experienced Occupational Health Physiotherapist to join our onsite team at Nissan Sunderland .

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll manage your own caseload, support employees with musculoskeletal conditions, and play a key part in early intervention and rehabilitation. Your work will directly contribute to keeping employees moving well, feeling well, and performing at their best.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • ✅ Assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, from work‑related strains to post‑operative recovery
  • ✅ Manage your own caseload confidently and independently
  • ✅ Work closely with HR and managers on safe, timely return‑to‑work plans
  • ✅ Carry out workplace assessments and recommend MSK risk‑reducing adjustments
  • ✅ Deliver training and education sessions to help prevent injuries
  • ✅ Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team to provide a seamless, integrated service
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Occupational Health or Ergonomics experience • ACPOHE membership • Postgraduate qualifications (PG Cert / Diploma / MSc)

  • Qualified Physiotherapist (Degree / Diploma) with CSP & HCPC registration • Minimum 3 years’ experience in MSK treatment and rehabilitation • Strong communication and organisational skills • Confident, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
