We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Featherstone, a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton.

HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678 inmates; it is a training prison with a layout of 7 wings. You will be based in a team of 4 consisting of a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Assistants, with pharmacy hatches based in the central area and on the wings.

This role is a permanent 37.5 hours per week covering shifts Monday to Sunday: Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5.30pm; Weekends 8.30am – 5.30pm.

Salary

This position is full time. You will receive an annual salary between £27,247.00 and £32,346.00 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide outstanding quality-based, patient-centred care by listening to and acting on feedback, so care is personalised and informed by what matters to patients.
  • Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, maintain patient medical records to the agreed standard, and ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and cost-effective prescribing as defined by our health in justice medicines policy.
  • Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to make a real difference.
