We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician/ACT to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Isle of Wight, a category B men's prison, located in the Isle of Wight.

In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

Hours

This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week. The Pharmacy team work a rolling rota over 4 weeks, 4-5 shifts per week. Hours are Monday-Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm, with potential to work on weekends if needed. This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week.

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £33,454 - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

• Provide outstanding quality based patient centered care to our patients
• Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards
• Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of
• Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. Communicate complex or sensitive information whilst demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients
• Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines management, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed

Qualifications required
