Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and determined individual to work 37.5 hours per week to join our progressive team with a national reputation for innovation and development. You will be part of a broad pharmacy team working with inpatients, outpatients and clinical trials patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on inpatient, outpatient and clinical trial patient medication delivery, including ward top‑up services and dispensing medication.
  • Communicate routine information with other healthcare staff to ensure a safe and effective system of medicines supply.
  • Communicate routine information with patients and carers about their medicines, including those with communication difficulties.
  • Participate in pharmacy and ward level activities for efficient delivery of medicines.
  • Provide weekend cover at North Tyneside General Hospital to support the 7‑day clinical service to the Specialist Emergency Care Hospital.
  • Work at other sites within the Trust as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • English language proficiency level required for the post.
  • Fit and Proper Person Requirements (FPPR) must be met; additional pre‑employment checks will be conducted.
  • Applicants who are members of the Armed Forces or who have a disability requiring workplace support will be interviewed under the Trust's interview guarantee scheme.
