Pharmacy Dispenser

The role of the Pharmacy Dispenser will be to :
  • Processing prescription and stock orders.
  • Ensuring legal checks are conducted on prescriptions, adhering to current guidance from relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Quality check on documents submitted by customers, adhering to current processes and guidance from relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Management of Pharmacy stock levels & stock rotation
  • Dealing with pharmacy queries on customer’s orders and prescriptions, including liaising with prescribers.
  • Dealing with concerns raised by colleagues and customers regarding orders.
  • Communicating with other Acre sites including customer services, IT, Pharmacies.
  • Ensure working in line with the pharmacy SOP’s, processes and in line with the GPhC regulations.
  • Ensuring the pharmacy is clean and tidy and meets GPhC standards.
  • Packing of Pharmacy orders.
  • Involvement in development and review of corrective and preventive actions plans.
  • Involvement in review of documents such as SOPs and work instructions.
  • Apply governance principles in maintaining and improving existing pharmacy processes to ensure suitability.
  • Facilitate with DPD collections and consignment reports for end‑of‑day collections.
The suitable Pharmacy Dispenser will have :
  • NVQ Level 2 Dispensing Qualification (or GPhC recognised equivalent)
  • A strong focus on accuracy and safety in all aspects of dispensing and record‑keeping.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills
  • A work history that demonstrates collaboration, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Clear dedication to patient safety, satisfaction, and high standards of service.
  • Ideal : At least 2 years experience working in a UK pharmacy in a Dispensary focused role
