Job Overview

Working closely with the Aseptics Services manager and Accountable Pharmacist for Aseptic services, you will support the implementation, monitoring and review of the quality management system to ensure the safe and timely provision of chemotherapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an Authorised Pharmacist to final release aseptically prepared chemotherapy products for patient use, both onsite and outsourced.
  • Deputise for the Lead Pharmacist Aseptics Services as required.
  • Assist in managing the Pharmacy Quality Management System (PQS) in Aseptics Services, completing Complaints, Deviations, Change Controls, updating Standard Operating Procedures and conducting GMP audits.
  • Support the development, delivery and evaluation of the Trust’s cancer services in line with the NHS Long Term Strategy for Cancer.
  • Team‑manage staff to ensure effective operation of the services provided.
  • Participate in a 7‑day shift pattern, including weekend and Bank Holiday rotas where required.
  • Ensure the highest standards of service continuity for patients and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Pharmacist with appropriate authorisation to release chemotherapy.
  • Fluency in English, as required under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
