Job summary

Job description
Role

We are looking for a personal assistant to help a 6 year old girl during school holidays and after school as a casual worker. She is a fun-loving individual who has been diagnosed with Phelan-McDermid Syndrome which means she has a developmental delay and is non-verbal. Although having the developmental age of a toddler she is full of beans and loves the park, nursery rhymes, cars and all things sensory.

We are looking for someone to engage her in play within the home initially as building trust and that a professional relationship is essential to her development. She is in nappies and will need assistance with personal care.

Applicants must have a caring attitude, a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area would be of benefit.

This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) where you will be asked to provide a copy of your certificate to your new Employer, for their records.
