We’re looking for a dedicated Support Assistant to join our Peripatetic Service at Delacy Gardens, Pontefract. This vital service operates 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, delivering high-quality care to people in their own homes.

About the Role

The post is for 24.50 hours per week.

You’ll work on a 4‑week rolling rota, including:

  • Morning shifts: 07:00 - 15:00
  • Evening shifts: 15:00 - 23:00

Salary 25,583-25,989 (FTE). Salary: £28,598 – £31,537 (FTE). £13.26 to £13.47 per hour. Weekends and bank holidays (enhanced pay rates apply).

Your role will include:
  • Supporting individuals to remain in their own homes
  • Promoting independence and person‑centred care i.e. Washing/dressing/Bathing/Toileting/Meals & Medication
  • Working collaboratively with professionals and agencies
  • Treating every person with dignity and respect

Essential:

  • GCSE Grades D–G in Math’s and English or Functional Skills Level 1 in Math’s and English

Desirable (but not required):

  • Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

Don’t have the Level 2 qualification? No problem! We’ll provide full training and fund your qualification after successful completion of your probation period.
