A leading care provider in Harrogate is seeking a Peripatetic Care Home Manager to oversee care operations and support Care Home Managers across the North West. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high standards of care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a dementia setting and strong knowledge of care regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Care Home Manager in a dementia setting.
  • Nursing qualification with active NMC PIN preferred but not essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC standards with demonstrated record of ratings.

At Orchard Care Homes, we are expanding our operational support team and are now seeking to appoint a Peripatetic Care Home Manager for our North West region. Please note that travel to other areas where our homes are located may be required, depending on business needs.

As a Peripatetic Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for supporting Care Home Managers to drive premium care quality and compliance across the region, in addition to managing a specific care home in the absence of a Home Manager if required. Your role will include overseeing all elements of residents’ care, developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, identifying and driving business opportunities and maintaining budgets and controlling costs. You will be an inspiring leader, and whilst supporting the day-to-day operations of our care homes, you will be seeking new opportunities to enhance the quality of life and wellbeing for both our residents and our home teams.

Role Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Care Home Manager within a dementia setting
  • Nursing qualification with active NMC PIN – desirable but not essential
  • An Adult Social Care qualification of level 5 or above (level 4 Registered Managers Award will be considered if willing to complete level 5)
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC standards with a demonstrated record of achieving Good/Outstanding ratings
  • Passionate about delivering and developing high standards of person-centred care
  • Demonstrated marketing and business development skills within the private care sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with residents, families, professionals and home teams
