There is the opportunity to keep skills upto date primarily in anaesthetics and scrub but also some opportunity forrotation into PACU.

You will have aninterest in Day Surgery and a desire to improve your theatre skills in linewith the needs of the department. You will be supported by the team indeveloping the appropriate competencies to work in anaesthetics, scrub andrecovery as well as progressing in your career.
Theatreexperience is desirable for this post. Anaesthetic training is desirable as therole will require an active participation in the anaesthetic part of theTheatre Practitioners role.

JOBPURPOSE/SUMMARY
Toprovide and be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development,implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for the Peri-operativepatient. To carry out all relevant formsof care competently without direct supervision.
Communicatewith members of the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of careand promote effective team working.
Toassist with the teaching and supervision of learners and other staff.
Thejobholder will work within an environment caring for peri-operative patients.
