This is a fieldbased role covering Teesside & Humberside and West Yorkshire.

Role Purpose

As a People Partner, you will play a key role in enabling our line managers to take ownership of the people agenda. Working across multiple regions, you’ll help shape a culture where leadership accountability is strengthened, and people practices are embedded through the line.

This role is about creating meaningful impact — connecting people interventions to commercial performance, influencing leadership behaviours, and taking initiative to drive long‑term, strategic change. You’ll also act as a change leader, supporting the design and delivery of high‑level change initiatives that align with our business priorities and cultural ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver regionally relevant people interventions that drive measurable improvements in performance, engagement, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Partnering with Senior Directors to create impactful people plans that drive performance, engagement, and growth across the region.
  • Lead and support the implementation of high‑impact change programmes, ensuring alignment with business goals and cultural transformation.
  • Connect people initiatives—such as resourcing, development, and engagement—to commercial outcomes, supporting our ambition to offer : 5–10% Better Value Stunning fresh food A serious clothing offer
Influence (Motivation)
  • Become a true partner to leaders across up to 3 regions, acting as a coach and advisor.
  • Influence leadership teams to shift from tactical reliance on People support to proactive ownership of the people agenda.

To ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
