A UK healthcare organization is seeking a People and OD Assistant for a fixed term position. The role involves supporting workforce management and providing advice on employee relations while undertaking a Level 3 Apprenticeship in HR Support. The People and OD Directorate (POD) is responsible for developing people strategies, policy, practice, and delivering P&OD services which support strategic objectives, improve staff engagement, comply with legislation, and support organisational culture development and the embedding of organisational values.

We are looking for a People and OD Assistant to join our busy team on a fixed term basis whilst undertaking a Level 3 Apprenticeship in HR Support (Business & Administration).
You will be paid in line with agendafor change trainee pay: Annex 21 salary percentage – year 1 of study 70% and year 2 of study 75% of the top of band 4.
Interviews for this role will be held face to face.
You will support the Workforce Business Partner and Advisor team by providing professional support and advice to Managers and staff across a range of employee relations matters and the application of Trust policies.
To support the delivery of ‘a great place to be cared for; a great place to work’ through effective engagement in a responsive, high quality and ‘employee‑centric’ People function.
To ensure that all employee related issues are comprehensively and effectively addressed through proactive, employee centric and best practice advice and delivery.
To provide professional support and advice to managers and colleagues in the organisation across the range of employee relations matters.
To assist in the full range of People activities, including minute taking where appropriate.
We operate from three main hospitals – Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant‑led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non‑life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
