An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the transport services department.

About you

To provide an efficient and effective transport service having due regard to the needs of passengers for SEND, Flexi Link and Go-Too services whilst they are in their care.

Responsibilities
  1. Transport and escort passengers from their home or other collection point and destination to and from establishment/Centre or other destination points (on a basis of door‑to‑door transport) and ensure that clients are properly assisted prior to, during and at the end of their journey having general regard to the welfare of the client which includes reporting to the appropriate person on changes observed in the physical and mental well‑being of clients, and summon the appropriate services in case of emergencies. Assists in PA role as required.
  2. Conduct a daily inspection for compliance purposes and maintain and clean vehicles as required in accordance with guidelines and maintain the vehicle log sheets on a daily basis. Comply with statutory and departmental regulations and good practice guidelines, including Drivers handbook.

We are recruiting a PCV driver to form part of a team operating an innovative demand responsive service in Nantwich and the surrounding area, called Go Too. You will be driving a new, 17‑seat automatic minibus connecting residents of the rural communities west and south of Nantwich to local and potentially national (by way of rail connections) services and amenities.

We are looking for people who are competent drivers with a history of safe driving. Applicants who are enthusiastic, motivated and love working with people are invited to help us deliver exceptional, customer‑focused services.

You will need to be keen to be part of an exciting and innovative service, flexible, prepared to work around the borough of Cheshire East and the holder of a current PCV licence (max 3 points) and Driver CPC.

Your full‑time working hours will average 37 and cover 5 days per week on a rolling rota basis, which will include working some Saturdays for which we pay a premium of time and one half. Part‑time hours will be considered on an individual basis.
