Overview

Payroll Team Leader - Full-time, Permanent. Manchester City Centre (Hybrid Working). £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Providing efficient support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Resolve payroll queries and ensure compliance with legislation
  • Oversee Payroll operations and related tasks
  • Produce scheduled payroll and service delivery reports
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes and changes
  • Allocate team workloads and manage performance
  • Conduct 1:1s, reviews, and support team development
  • Monitor SLA adherence and ensure service quality
  • Collaborate across departments and support onboarding
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes
  • Identify and implement process improvements
Qualifications
  • Experience running large payroll processes.
  • Extensive payroll operations experience, ideally using Oracle Payroll.
  • Proven leadership in managing and developing teams.
  • Strong communicator, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Well-organised with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Solid understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Proactive with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.

  • Hybrid working - 3 days remote and 2 days office based per week reducing to 4 days remote and 1 day per week office based after probation.
