Payroll Specialist – Nordics | Media Business

London / Hybrid

5-month day-rate contract

Competitive day rate (up to £50k equivalent)

A global media business is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support the in-housing of payroll for Nordic countries as part of a wider HR transformation programme.

This is a hands‑on delivery role, focused on supporting the transition of payroll into an internal operating model, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a smooth go‑live across multiple Nordic locations.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting the implementation of in‑house payroll for Nordic countries
  • Managing payroll inputs including starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses and statutory deductions
  • Ensuring payroll processes align with local legislation and statutory requirements
  • Working closely with HR and Finance to embed new payroll processes
  • Supporting testing, parallel runs and post‑implementation stabilisation
  • Responding to payroll queries and supporting knowledge transfer
  • Documenting payroll processes to ensure long‑term sustainability
