Title : Payroll Specialist

Location : Remote

Salary : £33,000

Contract : Permanent

A well-established organisation in the accountancy sector is seeking a capable and dependable Payroll Specialist to join its central payroll function. This is a permanent role suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy and clear organisation. You will work from home and attend meetings at the organisation’s office on a quarterly basis.

This position sits within a busy payroll team that supports a wide mix of business units. The work demands a steady approach, strong numerical judgement and confidence in handling varied pay cycles.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage the full payroll cycle for several clients on weekly, fortnightly and monthly schedules.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for payroll enquiries and offer clear answers while resolving issues without delay.
  • Process statutory payments including maternity, paternity, sickness and employee leavers while applying correct tax rules.
  • Keep employee information up to date including tax codes, banking details and statutory paperwork, working closely with internal contacts.
  • Produce payroll reports for senior staff and external auditors.
  • Maintain full compliance with current legislation and internal standards.
  • Carry out additional payroll tasks as required.
