Overview

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be supporting a growing business in Bournemouth as they look to welcome a Payroll Officer to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, people-focused company where you’ll take ownership of the monthly payroll cycle and be the go-to person for payroll queries across the business.

What you’ll be doing
  • Processing monthly payroll
  • Handling pensions, overtime, commission, sickness, holidays and leavers
  • Liaising with the HR team to ensure all pay changes are captured correctly
  • Administering pension schemes and ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment
  • Preparing and submitting HMRC returns (PAYE, NI etc.)
  • Producing payroll reports to support finance and management
  • Acting as first point of contact for all payroll queries
What we’re looking for
  • An experienced Payroller with 2–3 years’ experience
  • Solid knowledge of PAYE, NI, pensions and statutory payments
  • Confident using payroll software
  • Organised, detail-focused and able to hit monthly deadlines
  • Excellent communicator with a discreet, professional approach
