Payroll Officer with Accounts - 12 Month FTC (Potential to Extend)

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading organisation in Belfast City Centre as a Payroll Officer with Accounts. This is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract with the strong possibility of extension or becoming permanent. You'll be part of a collaborative finance team, gaining exposure to payroll, accounts, and reporting across the UK, ROI, and international operations. The business offers modern offices, hybrid working, and clear opportunities for professional growth.

What You'll Do
  • Process monthly payroll for UK and ROI teams, ensuring compliance with HMRC and Revenue submissions
  • Support bank reconciliations, margin analysis, and internal financial reporting
  • Manage the sales ledger including payment allocation, account reconciliation, and credit control assistance
  • Handle purchase ledger duties: invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and payment runs
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and carry out monthly reconciliations
  • Assist with audit preparation, reporting packs, and provide general finance team support
About You
  • 3+ years' experience in a finance role
  • Proven end-to-end payroll experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communicator and team player
  • Confident using Excel, with experience of Sage (UK/ROI) or similar payroll/accounting systems
  • Working towards IATI or CIPP is desirable
