Payroll & Finance Specialist

2-3 Month Temporary Role

Job Overview

You will be a key part of the finance team assisting with the processing an in‑house company payroll as well as dealing with various finance administrative duties.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Processing an in‑house monthly payroll for approximately 100 employees from start to finish.
  • Dealing with various payroll queries.
  • Inputting starters/leavers, holiday pay etc.
  • Completing the reconciliation of the various group bank accounts in a timely manner throughout the month.
  • Process BACS payments ensuring correct allocation of funds and accurate recording in both the underwriting and accounting systems.
Essential Skills and Competencies
  • Experience working on in‑house UK payrolls.
  • High level of computer literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • High level of organisational ability; ability to work to tight deadlines and targets.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
Desirable Skills and Competencies
  • Experience working in accountancy and dealing with payroll reconcilations.
  • Experience using multiple payroll platforms.
  • A fundamental understanding of UK payroll legislation.
  • Experience with Excel and spreadsheets.
