Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Payroll Advisory team to ensure clients remain compliant with legislation and best practices related to payroll processing, reporting and taxation.
- Handle complex case management and escalate unresolved issues from the First Line Support Team.
- Provide legally compliant payroll advice and assistance to clients by telephone, highlighting non-compliant options and associated risks, and ensuring the client is fully aware of these risks.
- Log all advice accurately in the internal CRM, take ownership of cases, and resolve within SLA.
- Provide clients with supporting information and documentation to assist with the advice given.
- Present training and proactively support customers in using the company’s Payroll technology.
- Own cases to resolution, building rapport and relationships with clients on each interaction.
- Make recommendations for corrective action options such as supplementary runs and re-run options in line with BACs turnaround times, and advise customers on any charges.
- Assist clients with payroll audits, reviews, and compliance checks.
- Record and raise software issues to the appropriate development teams with full details for timely fixes.
What you bring
- A customer-focused, can-do approach to resolve all issues in a timely manner, keeping the customer informed throughout the case.
- Deep understanding of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations.
- Understanding of each client’s Payroll landscape, including Third Party Payments schedule and reporting requirements.
- Previous experience in delivering or managing payroll services, ideally within a Bureau environment.

Normal working hours are 37.5 hours a week, 9:00AM - 5:30PM.
